SSU Family Support Center protects women health of Sumy region

In May representatives of the Family Support Center of SSU in partnership with Sumy regional non-governmental organization "Center of public initiatives "Intellect of Sumy Region" conducted trainings "Equal opportunities – equal responsibility". Educative meetings were held in frames of the project of formation of responsible attitude to reproductive health of women "Save your life" under support of program «Healthy Women of Ukraine» of U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) program.

The project "Equal opportunities in getting profession for young mother-students in higher educational establishment" is the winner of the grant program was supported by the European Union and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Social Policy.

Directed project to protect the rights of women and enhancing their social and economic opportunities. The project budget is 240,000 euros, 40,000 of which are provided Sumy State University.

European Parliament by a majority of votes determined the 2014 year of promoting reconciliation of work and family life

Representatives of the Confederation of Family Organizations in the European Union (Confederation of Family Organisation - COFACE) proudly announced that the 7th February 2013 the European Parliament had registered 388 signatures (more than half of its members) Declaration number 32 on the appointment in 2014 by the European Year of combining work and family life.

After supporting the three presiding EU (Ireland, Lithuania and Greece) also received approval from the European Parliament. This is a strong message to the President of the European Commission and the heads of the member states.
