Meetings with a psychologist for the first-year students

Traditionally meetings with the University psychologist are held for the freshmen in autumn. This year currently the following activities have taken place in 22 groups, which were attended by about 400 students.

The work took place in the form of training that gave the possibility for all participants to show their activity. The subject of the meeting dealt primarily with interpersonal relationships in the group, because the adaptation process is relevant and important at this time.

Discussions, working with cases, special exercises gave participants an opportunity to reveal themselves, get to know other students of the group and contributed to the process of group formation. The relationships that develop at this stage between young people are essential for the subsequent formation of deep and trusting relationships.

Special attention was paid to the elucidation of the value of psychological knowledge in everyone's life. Students shared their knowledge about the peculiarities of the psychologist work, acquainted with the opportunities that work with a psychologist give.

Moreover, each participant had the opportunity to take part in the proposed psychological testing and discussed the results in a further private conversation with the psychologist.
