Sumy studied to provide psychological first aid to children

During October and November in Sumy and Sumy region held series of trainings "psychological first aid to children".

Activities conducted jointly by NGO "The Intelligence of Sumy region" and the project team "Family friendly university" (SSU) supported by Ukrainian NGO "Women's Consortium of Ukraine" and "SavetheChildren". These events were symbolic of these measures in the World "16 days against violence".

During the training, participants were able to discover  a method of psychological first aid to children, to develop an algorithm to provide psychological first aid at the first contact with the child learn important elements of effective communication with your child.

Important operating time training can be considered as establishing communications between organizations and activists who provide various kinds of support for internally displaced persons (including children) in the Sumy region.

Information. First psychological aid is acknowledged, simple and effective method of providing primary support for people in crisis situations which was recently introduced in the list of minimum standards of child protection during humanitarian actions.
