10-12 December Kyiv hosted an international conference "Gender politics in the context of European integration and international obligations of Ukraine". Active participation in the event taked experts of Gender Center Andriana Kostenko and Yulya Savelyeva.

Gender Resource Centre staff also participated in the discussion of effective mechanisms for gender equality, adequate support gender equality in academia and regionally. Introducing gender-sensitive initiatives "Family friendly university" experts of Gender Centre SSU provided recommendations to the new labor law that will help people who are working effectively combine professional responsibilities with family.

The conference was initiated by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine in partnership with Friedrich Ebert (Representation in Ukraine), OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine, UNFPA Ukraine Foundation, UN-Women, Ukrainian Women's Fund.
