On June 18, 2015 in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine held parliamentary debates on "Family policy in Ukraine - goals and objectives". During discussion was presented experience in implementing of Sumy State University the initiative "Family friendly university".

The model of initiative was developed and implemented by the SSU under the project "Equal opportunities in getting profession for young mother-students in higher educational establishments" funded by the European Union.
