The project initiated at Sumy State University a public campaign "Family friendly university"
During the last week of September, the project “Equal opportunities in getting profession for young mother-students in higher educational establishment (HEE)” will launch at Sumy State University a campaing "Family Friendly University". A number of events will highlight the interim results. Colleagues from other High Educational Institutions all over the Ukraine, partners to the project, are invited to participate.
Public will be able to attend a scientific workshop on the introduction of gender approaches in study programs and in daily work of higher education institutions. The conference will present the expanded gender-sensitive initiative "Family friendly institution and the best practices of family planning. During the press conference, an award prizes will be given to the winners of the Father’s Day competition. During the week, results from a number of projects implemented by Sumy State University will be discussed; these projects include "Equal work opportunities for young mother-students in higher educational establishments," "Formation of a responsible attitude to the reproductive health of women "Save the life," "Student's stork," and "Family friendly university".
"The leadership of Sumy State University in family support has already become a hallmark of the university. Interest in these innovative activities constantly grows – therefore, carrying out the whole Week of actions will visually show our forms of work and our achievements. Additionally, we will be able to discuss with our colleagues from other universities the ways of optimizing the implementation of family friendly approaches in higher education institutions of Ukraine," notes project manager Nina Svitaylo.
Actions that will take place during the Week are supported by the European Union, Friedrich Ebert Foundation, and USAID.
