During 14-17 April project team "Equal opportunities in getting profession for young mother-students in higher educational establishments" carried out trainings on implementation initiative "Family friendly university" for representatives of higher education institutions of Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.

Traditionally activities carried out taking into account the characteristics of different target groups. Thus, for the administration of higher education institutions were conducted workshops focused not only on the opportunities, but also on the mechanisms, resources and risks of the initiative which has elaborated the project team in the implementation of family-friendly approaches in Sumy State University.

It should be noted that trainings in Mykolaiv and Kherson showed the situation of other regions: most of the problems with providing equal opportunity in education lie in the plane of motivation and establishing communications between different departments of the university as well as cooperation with trade unions.

This means that the necessary financial and human resources already exist and the need for additional investments in solving the problems are minor while the effect of the improvement of these services are essential both for establishing a positive climate in the team and for the image of the institution.
