Ukraine ahead of Russia in the ranking of gender equality but lost to Africa

Ukraine ranked 56 in the global ranking of gender equality (The Global Gender Gap Report 2014), and Russia - 75.

This is illustrated by the global index of gender equality published by the World Economic Forum.

Rating evaluates gender equality in 142 countries in terms of the involvement of women in the economy, politics, education and health care.

Took the first five Nordic countries - Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. For the first time in the top ten hit Africa Rwanda, finishing seventh.

Ukraine is located on the 56th, ahead of Russia (75), Poland (57), Romania (72), Slovakia (90), Hungary (93). Ukraine has given the two countries neighbor - Belarus (32) and Moldova (25).
