Sumy State University continues series of trainings on business planning initiative "Family friendly university"

November 7-8, 2014 in Lutsk National Technical University, 10-11 November in Rivne State Humanitarian University and November 12-13 in the Ternopil National Pedagogical University. named after Volodymyr Hnatiuk held training sessions in order to develop the skills required to develop and implement various forms of initiative "Family friendly university".

Training designed to meet the best practices of the International Labour Organization, conducted within the project "Equal opportunities in getting profession for young mother-students in higher educational establishments" funded by the European Union. Official partners of the project are the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine.

Courses include:

- Presentation of the experience of Sumy State University and best practices from foreign universities implement family friendly initiatives;

- Interactive sessions that demonstrate the relevance and importance of issues, allowing to understand the impact of inaction in dealing with the conflict between teaching and family responsibilities;

- Develop an understanding of the policy of friendliness to the family;

- Dispelling common myths, stereotypes and errors regarding the combination of education and family responsibilities;

- The development of an action plan to implement specific approaches to family friendliness in terms of university.

Among the target group of the project - the university administration, faculty and staff dealing with the issues extracurricular work with students, college students, young mothers. As a result, the expected spread of the initiative to create the family friendly conditions in the university environment of the country.
