18-20 February in Sumy State University held a seminar "Gender audit of universities as a tool of implementing the policy of equal rights and opportunities for women and men in education".

The expert meeting brought together representatives and representatives of 16 universities of Ukraine where there are branches of gender education. The workshop discussed urgent issues of higher education reform in Ukraine, including gender component in this process, the role of gender education in Universities and has been handled gender audit methodology universities as a tool to improve the policy of equal opportunities in high school.

Since 2015 Gender Resource Center of Sumy State University coordinates the activities All-Ukrainian Network of Gender Education Universities centers. The network was established in 2012 and now has over 30 branches in different cities of Ukraine. The purpose of the Network - joint efforts of gender experts to promote sustainable gender equity in education.

The seminar was held in partnership with Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine. After seminat both partners signed agreement of cooperation between Sumy State University and Foundation.
