October 29 in Sumy State University held national conference on the results of the project "Gender mainstreaming in higher educational institutions of Ukraine", organized and implemented by the SSU. 

The project was joined by 20 universities from 10 regions of Ukraine whose representatives and other stakeholders will attend the conference. The event summed up the project to conduct gender audit, each university talked about the results of their university and developed recommendations for the future.

Background. Gender audit is a tool that lets you find out the real situation with observance of equal rights and opportunities for women and men in higher educational institutions. Gender audit targeted the training on dignity to every person, regardless of gender, to create opportunities for self-fulfillment of each and every one of us in education, science, work. Gender Audit creates conditions to identify key challenges in achieving gender equality and recommends solutions.
