On April 23, 2014 in Sumy State University in a partnership with the Institute for innovation technologies and education content of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine  held National Scientific on-line conference "Implementation of European standards in the educational process of the university to combine professional and family responsibilities of students".

During 14-17 April project team "Equal opportunities in getting profession for young mother-students in higher educational establishments" carried out trainings on implementation initiative "Family friendly university" for representatives of higher education institutions of Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.

In late March, a team of the project "Equal opportunities in getting profession for young mother-students in higher educational establishments" conducted trainings on implementation of family-friendly approaches in Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky State Pedagogical University.

International Women's Day, originally called International Working Women's Day, is marked on March 8 every year. Started as a Socialist political event in former Soviet bloc the day lost its political flavor, and became simply an occasion for men to express their love for women in a way somewhat similar to a mixture of Mother's Day and Valentine's Day. But we would like to return it to political and human rights theme, and raise political and social awareness of the struggles of women worldwide.

At the end of February Wroclaw (Poland) under the program "Youth in Action" held the event on the development of partnerships between European organizations and organizations of neighboring countries working with young people. The event was an opportunity not only to learn, but also to present the experience of Sumy State University in the implementation of family-friendly initiatives at European level.
